Behavior
The tetheris is a nimble and quick, this can help it fluke any potential prey item. the tetheris is much smaller than its larger counterpart the "Tetheract." The tetheris is small but very capable of hunting a potential prey item. Common food sources include hivewings and small bladewings, sometimes even going for young tetheracts and wood stalkers. Tetherids are mostly active hunters, using their wings during hunts. Tetherids are the only reptilian fauna species to be any color besides white or grey. Tetherids in their early stages in arboreal hunters. Using their claws and tails to climb trees and jump from branch to branch. Young tetherids tend to fall victim to wood stalkers and cold ambushers. Bladewings can snatch them out of the air when jumping from tree to tree. Bladewings are a major threat to tetherids as the bladewings are very quick and can easily catch a tetherid hatchling.
Appearance
take a tetheract about 10 ft. then subtract 4 ft from it, then give it arms and less ribbon like wings and add cream colors to it. you get a tetheris as an end result. the tetherids teeth are more used for crushing bone than ripping through flesh like a tetheract. the largest tetheris is about 6.9 ft, making it almost to the size of a sytheris or smaller species of sytheract. the tetherids cream colored scales are odd however, as they don't have very good camouflage. the tetherids arms give it much of an advantage during combat.
Tetheract vs Tetheris
first off, a fully grown adult tetheract would most likely win in a fight against a fully grown tetheris. although a tetheris does have arms, a tetheract would clap a tetheris no sweat. first off, a tetheris is smaller, although size won't usually matter, the tetheract could easily overpower the tetheris. secondly, the tetheracts teeth could easily cause fatal wounds thanks to the sharpness of its teeth. also the tetheract could easily factory reset the tetheris with its talons. so all in all, tetheract would win
