jurassic park institute dinosaur inaccuracies

today i will cover the a couple dinosaurs from the jurassic park institute website. i will cover the website got right and the inaccuracies that will make me so angry that i want to break my own kneecaps. lets get into this(first i got to convert the image files, hooray)

i will be judging by the designs accuracies and outdated stuff, but also having the stuff that JPI got right, so lets hop in on the first dinosaur!

before we hop on to anything i just want to mention some movie spoilers and rants are about so prepare and swearing but thats sorta censored so you'll be fine. and it'll take awhile to finish reading so lets dive in!

dinosaur 1, okay lets see what we got

and ouch

this is dromeosaurus, the namesake dinosaur for the dromeosauridae. now, this is expected out of jurassic park. no feathers, everytime i see a dinosaur that is supposed to have feathers with out them, i get very p*ssed off(thank you dominion for adding at least one feathered raptor). but even if they decided not to add feathers, the design is just absurd, it might be because of the bad image quality but come on, is it really that hard to make a dromeosaurid, even the featherless velociraptors look more accurate than this. the only good thing about this is that the wrists aren't pronated, at least i hope they are not. this design was probably just rushed. lets just hope the next dinosaur is better than this rushed piece of garbage. i'll be seeing a lawyer about this >:/

oh god its worse!

what type of sad excuse for a sigillmassasaurus is this?! it looks like if a tyrannosaurid and carcharodontosaurid tried mixing up with each other and this image is the result of that, i mean this is more absurd and inaccurate than the dromeosaurus! just look at it, god its bad. but let me give it a break, the sigillmassasaurus was actually considered to be a carcharodontosaur before being transferred to a spinosaur and being a synonym for spinosaurus until being reclassified as its own species. but still, its not an excuse to make this SPINOSAUR a friking carcharodontosaurid wannabe, if the 3rd dinosaur isn't good, i'm going to lose it

dinosaur 3, this better be good or i swear i'm going to....

oh its actually kinda good

this dromeosaur is "achillobator", and for a large raptor, it actually has feathers! YAY!!!! though despite having feathers, the raptor still looks very scaly and not like a giant murderous chicken the real achillo was. though the wrists aren't pronated which is good, the wrists would only really look like this if they were broken, which i guess means every theropod in jurassic park/world broke their own wrists? this makes no sense but ok. the head here looks very similar to an allosaurid which makes this image look like and allosaur cosplaying as a dromeosaur. i mean at least it has some accurate parts in it i guess. now i have higher hopes for the next dinosaur!

what is this!? i had high hopes and now their gone. thanks. anyways this is supposed to be afrovenator, which i guess is interesting as i don't think afrovenator swam, and guess what, IT DIDN'T! the afrovenator was actually more of a terrestrial hunter, if this was duebrilliosaurus then i would give it credit but it isn't so no credit for it at all. this could probably be any theropod with long arms that isn't a spinosaur and i would probably agree(not really), i mean, come on, this is just hurtful to see, i swear to god if the next one is bad, bad things are going to happen.

dinosaur 5, *sigh* lets just get on with it

oh hey its kinda cool!

this is the procompsognathus or procompy for short. its actually appeared in the jurassic park novels and is said to be venomous(not poisonous so get it right people). this actually kinda looks cool, it doesn't have pronated wrists, it actually looks like the dinosaur it was designed after, and it oh wait. *sigh* the feathers, were are they? we don't know if compys or the procompys had feathers but it could be very likely that they did, i mean i feel the lack of feathers kinda ruins it for me, but hey, it still looks cool! now i thought i would mention that in the books and in the lost world(the first movie appearance of the compy), the little buggers are actually pretty deadly and kind of sadistic. in the novel a parent hears chirping in room that her baby is in. the mother thinks its some bird, which is not entirely incorrect but if i heard strange chirping from my childs room i would double check just in case. the parent thinks its a kookaburra, which is honestly a terrible assumption, i don't think this attack took place in the land down under so why would you think that?! anyways the mother keeps hearing the chirping and checks and wouldn't you know, the "kookaburras" are around the child, looking at the parent with malicious intent before one bites the child and tears out the infants flesh, holy s*it thats brutal! a parent loses their child to frikin dinosaurs the size of chickens. and if the procompys were venomous, that must mean they injected the venom into the child when biting. but it gets much, much worse! dieter stark actually enjoyed torturing these guys because he thought, HE THOUGHT they were harmless and its a rule of jurassic park, don't fall in the enclosures, don't feed the dinosaurs, and the big one is DON'T EVER THINK THAT A DINOSAUR IS HARMLESS, NO DINOSAUR IN JURASSIC PARK IS HARMLESS. anyways dieter broke the rule i just mentioned and it didn't get him anywhere helpful. he gets lost and falls down a ravine when these little fellas correct him for his false guesses. they mangle him, injecting their venom as they do so and this kinda causes him to be drowsy and kinda have a breathing troubles, which is not good but it gets worse. dieter makes the stupidest idea in the world of stupid ideas and thinks hiding behind a log while they see him is a good idea and he is proved wrong and is ded. the compys factory reset him while he was screaming in terror as they fall on him which i would probably do. if only he had followed that one rule he would have survived, well nevermind cause he tortured them so i don't think they would just let him go. anyways next dinosaur!

what have they done now?

what did they do to spinosaurus?! it looks weird, and the image looks like its right leg is broken or torn off. i'm dissapointed, they made the big t-rex killer look like a total joke. it looks worse than the monsters resurrected spinosaurus! now the spino(spoiler) was the main star of the 3rd jurassic park movie, where it took the role of the big bad in the movie. now the t-rex is pretty much the face of jurassic park/world and you can't have a dinosaur movie, game, book or even theme park without t-rex! although you could just use tarbosaurus and list it as a t-rex but some people will catch on. anyways jp3 wasn't always gonna use spino and was actually gonna use baryonyx but was then changed because they directors wanted a bigger theropod and baryonyx was smaller than t-rex so they chose big guy with sail and it become the main dinosaur in that movie. though t-rex gets a role in the movie.....as a punching bag for spinosaurus, they pretty much had spino deactivate the t-rex and this kinda p*ssed of the fanbase as the star of the franchise was just killed off. the person that decided this was actually none other than Jack horner, who thinks that t-rex was just a big scavenger(i think t-rex was both predator and scavenger tbh) and that spino was a better predator when in reality spinosaurus mostly ate fish but would go after other dinosaurs meaning t-rex was the better predator. the spinosaurus was also given the ability to swim before it was even known that the big crocodile with the sail could swim so props to that. a fun fact, the character ben managed to use t-rex, erm, "juice" to keep away those procompys from earlier but keeping the little ones away brings the big ones closer, meaning you keep the little chicken things away but you attract the biological version of the t-rex destroyer 3000 which just shows how territorial it is towards the king of the dinosaurs. anyways, the spino in the movie was cool and thats how spinosaurus became my all time favorite dinosaur, all because of this one movie. next dinosaur please!

dinosaur 7, this better not be one were i have to pretty much spoil the whole franchise for

gosh dangit

now the main dinosaurs you need for a jurassic park/world movie and or theme park based off or inspired by it are t-rex, triceratops, some sauropod, stegosaurus, dilophosaurus, compys and the murderous chicken with dolphin like smartisim(intellegence for people who can't understand funny misspellings of words). you pretty need either t-rex or tarbosaurus and velociraptor(which here i will be calling raptor because thats pretty much what most people call all dromeosaurs.) now the design in the image is just the jurassic park raptor. this image makes the first 2 dinosaur images look like the most accurate thing in the world. prepare for a giant rant and movie spoilers. the jurassic park velociraptor is so INACCURATE that it makes the monsters resurrected spinosaurus accurate and makes Jack horners t-rex scavenger theory corrected. first off, the raptors are oversized, in real life the velociraptor was 6.8 ft in length and was more akin to a violent turkey than a violent Einstein lizard. the jurassic park raptor was as tall as a human, which probably means that the raptor in jurassic park is either utahraptor, deinonychus or dakotaraptor or its just oversized cause of FrOg DnA. also, the jurassic park raptor has no feathers. the weird thing is i honestly don't the raptor in jurassic park is a velociraptor but thats all. NOW TO THE MOVIE SPOILERS! the raptors were originally gonna be deinonychus but were changed as people were probably not going to remember deinonychus but would remember velociraptor or just raptor. now onto the spoilers. the famous scene that had little ones(no not the compys) shivering in fear was the kitchen scene. 2 raptors were looking for the children that hid in the kitchen(i forgot their names so lets just call them bob and jane). the 2 close the door thinking the raptors can't open doors and hid. as it turns out the raptors can open doors, which is odd because of their *cough* *cough* "broken" wrists. the malicious turkeys of doom look for bob and jane(please tell me their real names in comments, by real i mean the names of them in the movie.) and one starts barking. the bark was, erm, made with, um, 2 tortoises, um, "spawning more turtles" and was edited to be more scarier and iconic(i prefer the turok raptor sounds tbh). anyways the raptors begin chasing the 2 and one manages to lock one in a freezer. later the 2 raptors meet Alan grant for the 1st time and almost goes in for the kill when all the sudden.......THE T-REX SHOWS UP! how they managed to get the t-rex in the visitors center is beyond me, but the t-rex saves the day. in the next movie we actually don't get a lot of raptor scenes but the ones we get are honestly the best we see of the chickens of terror. the best in the scene in the tall grass as the raptors use the foliage to their advantage. the 3rd movie has some raptor scenes but one was cut from the movie and it was more absurd than the sigillmassasaurus image. they were going to have RAPTORS destroy the SPINOSAURUS. THATS STUPID! WHO IN THEIR RIGHT WAS THINKING THIS!? i'm glad they cut that scene. in jwfk we get the indominus but smaller/indoraptor(this means indian robber) using the dna of blue and thats it. also the new jurassic world will have 2 new raptors, atrociraptor and the gods gift pyroraptor. hopefully the next dinosaur isn't one where i have to spoil an entire movie

this is probably the last dinosaur for today and boy is the art good! the dinosaur is suchomimus and its catching a fish. it looks really good and i think looks really accurate. 12/10
